I made the best decision of my life when I called Wellness Counseling Vida Entera. From that first phone call, I felt as though I would finally get the help I needed. I was right. I spent a short time at the detox facility. Danny was the case worker and during our day trip to the Equine Therapy I figured I was in good hands. Danny played some relaxing music that put everyone in the right frame of mind. That day changed my focus and life forever. Thank you Danny! Then I transitioned to a residential living house. The staff went above and beyond to meet my needs at the house. The therapy I received at Wellness Counseling Vida Entera was the turning point for me. “Jim” was the man that helped me identifying some severe grief that I’ve been carrying around. Thank You Sid! After 2 weeks at the residential house I was informed that I was being moved to an IOP which was to serve as my education on how to deal with life. I thought this was going to be the reason I would leave but it was the exact opposite. My therapist “Ali”, was totally awesome. He was new with the company but treated everyone as if he’d been with us right from the opening bell. He was able to let the small group open up some heavy feelings. He was able to get the group to trust each other and share openly. This allowed everyone in the group to start the healing process. Thank you Ali and best of luck to you in your future success in helping others! The facilitating staff members were exceptional. The team of facilitators could not have been more perfect for me. In three short weeks I accomplished more than I ever imagined possible. For the first time in a long time, I am happy, healthy and truly centered and grounded. Donna (The Truth), Marcos (Awesome Guys), Phil (Aloha) and Sandi (with an “I”) gave me everything I needed to be healed, body, mind and soul. I will be forever grateful for the foundation you all have started for me to build upon in order for me to regain the freedom I once had. And I will work hard to have that freedom once again. And finally, my case worker Sophia. She was totally awesome. Her caseload at the time I was there was overwhelming for most. Sophia handled me with the utmost grace and class. Every issue or situation I brought to her was addressed professionally and timely. Thank you Sophia!

As I was growing up I always strived for perfection. I found myself with the “perfect” husband, “perfect” house, “perfect” children and “perfect” life. Well, no one ever told me that perfection would be so difficult to maintain and I wound up abusing drugs and alcohol to keep up with my “perfect” life. It was a gradual addiction that eventually brought me to the realization that I was about to lose my perfect home, husband, and children. What a blessing Wellness Counseling Vida Entera has been for me and my family. I had been struggling with addiction for more than 14 years, it took almost everything from me. I was on the edge of going off the deep end to the point of no return. When I was 15 years old my brother died from addiction. Watching my family’s suffering and not wanting to deal with my own grief, I decided that life was too short and that I wanted to just have fun and enjoy myself. After all, tomorrow was not promised. My life became a full time party and I became an alcoholic. My poor parents tried to help me along the way but I just did not want to be helped; I wasn’t ready. I was a functioning alcoholic and I liked it that way! I hit rock bottom when I drove drunk and almost killed my sister in a car crash. It was then that I realized that I needed to get help immediately and that’s when I called Wellness Counseling Vida Entera. They were able to get me help that day and it was the best call I’ve ever made. They got to the root of my addiction and were able to help me deal with my brother’s loss and the grief I had been carrying all those years. I am thankful that my family has forgiven me and that now thanks to Wellness Counseling Vida Entera I can live a sober life with a new purpose

I would like to thank Wellness Counseling Vida Entera for giving me my Son back. He has always suffered from depression and has been using on and off from a young age. As a parent, I felt the outcome of his life was my fault. I knew I could not continue seeing my child suffer each day. When I first called Wellness Counseling Vida Entera, I spoke with Jennifer who was very knowledgeable on recovery and sobriety. Jennifer also shared her story with me and my son. He knew he had to change his life before it was too late. He was admitted to Wellness Counseling Vida Entera within two days. I was debating If I had made the right choice but when he arrived he told me it was going to be okay and he had to do this for himself. When he would call me he sounded better and better each day. I spoke with his Therapist to get a follow up on his progress which was awesome. He is now home and has been sober for 94 days and is doing great. He attends weekly meetings. Words cannot express how thankful I am to Wellness Counseling Vida Entera for everything they have done for my son and my family.

First off I don’t leave reviews like this, but after the wonderful transformation that happened to me at Wellness Counseling Vida Entera I feel compelled to tell everyone about how my life was changed. When I arrived at Wellness Counseling Vida Entera I was in rough shape, I have been struggling with addiction for over 10 years. In the last 3 years I have checked into 3 rehabs and 5 detoxes. I never really wanted to stay sober, I was always putting on a façade. I wore my smiling mask in hopes of bluffing everyone to thinking that all the wreckage I had caused was never my fault…truth is I was only fooling and hurting myself.The day came that I decided enough was enough. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and knew I had to change. I found an ounce of courage to pick up the phone and make what I call the “lifesaving call”. The phone number I found online said help is available 24/7, it took me 8 hours to actually press dial. It was 2 AM when I made the call, I was almost hoping that no one would pick up. That’s exactly what didn’t happen. Alex answered my call at 2AM, he was genuine and trusting and gained my respect immediately. When Alex told me that my insurance would cover the cost of treatment I was thrilled. Two days later I was on my way to Wellness Counseling Vida Entera.When I arrived in California I felt a breath of fresh air. I knew I was going in the right direction. I had never gone out of Chicago for rehab, I kept going to local places that offered limited help. To get the quality help that I needed I was willing to go any length. Wellness Counseling Vida Entera educated me on what addition is, they equipped me with the tools to stay sober. The program gave me ample time and therapeutic space to heal.
